Dan Dugan Sound Design is well known and respected for his line of automatic mic mixing products. They are used heavily in broadcast, corporate A/V shows, and House of Worship where there are often several people talking on lavalier mics at one time.

In those situations, it can be challenging for a mixing engineer to only bring up the mic being used at any given time. These mics tend to pick up a lot of ambient sound and can be difficult to get many of them to sound good, be able to be heard for an audience, have just the needed mics turned up at the right time, and not feedback.
