Millennia Dual Channel HV37 Mic Preamp
After working in Silicon Valley in the 80's, John La Grou founded Millennia Media with his wife Cynthia. Working as a classical music recording engineer in Northern California drove John to design mic preamps that could deliver the highest degree of transparent acoustic reproduction. Today Millennia occupies that rarified air of a true player in the recording industry - their designs are firmly established as of the highest and most exclusive quality.
Millennia's latest release, the HV37 ($1439) takes the popular design of the HV35 500 Series mic preamp, placing 2 channels of discrete mic preamplification into a standard 1RU rackmount chassis. Each channel is equipped with an 80Hz rolloff, 15 dB pad, and a DC coupled ribbon mic setting complete with 10dB gain boost. Each channel also has a front mounted 1/4" instrument input for added flexibility.

Now at Dale Pro Audio: Thermionic Culture!
Thermionic Culture Ltd. was formed in 1998 to manufacture, promote and sell Recording Engineer Vic Keary’s all valve studio equipment designs. The principal aim is to prove that vacuum tubes are far superior for audio applications to solid state alternatives.
Because they have less inherent distortion than transistors, etc., and very low noise, all valve designs sound very natural in well‐designed circuits, especially when paired with excellent audio transformers. When valves distort the sound is legendary and mostly quite attractive and musical (hear The Culture Vulture). Thermionic wants to point out that their designs feature “clean” qualities as well - some of these circuits have unbalanced “single ended” outputs which give a very “open” sound. Thermionic products are made in England to the highest standards, much of it hand point‐to‐point wired in the traditional way.
