Phoenix Audio Products Now Available at Dale Pro Audio
Phoenix Audio was originally formed in 1996 to provide service for vintage Neve recording consoles. It has since evolved into a manufacturer of high quality Class A audio equipment, offering uniquely original designs that embody the classic British tone but with a modern twist. Their range of products are designed, built and wired in-house by professional wiremen and engineers with many years experience.
Dale Pro Audio recently received the DRS1R/500 and DRS-Q4 mk2, and both offer incredible sound quality and value for the price. Each one can be demoed either by appointment or by walk-in in our NYC showroom.
The DRS1R/500 ($699) is a mono pre amp and DI for the API 500 series, it was designed to be identical in terms of features and sonics as the ever popular DRS1 but in a new format. The unit runs at 24v thanks to the special power supply built into the unit which ensures no sonic sacrifices whilst still maintaining a very low current use needed for the API format.
The DRS-Q4 mk2 ($2699) is a 4 Band Gyratory-based Eq with 11 selectable frequencies, and Mic, Line, and DI inputs. It has the advantages of more than 25 years experience in audio engineering, today’s component and manufacturing technology, but still retains “that sound” uniquely achievable through Class A design.

Neumann Expands the K&H Studio Monitor Line with the KH310
Neumann GmbH made waves in the studio, broadcast, and post world with the integration of the Klein & Hummel speaker company, and the KH120 A nearfield monitor became a top seller at Dale. Now this partnership in speaker innovation brings about an all new 3-way model, the KH310 A.
The KH 310 A ($2249 per speaker) is a three-way system that reflects Neumann’s philosophy of achieving the most accurate sound reproduction using state-of-the-art technology and techniques. It exceeds the demands for a higher level of audio performance brought on by the transition to HDTV and 5.1 multichannel audio, providing exceptional directivity and detail.
The KH 310 A represents the latest in acoustic and electronic simulation and measurement technologies to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction possible.
The KH 310 A is designed for use as a near-field monitor, as a front loudspeaker in mid-sized multi-channel systems, or as a rear loudspeaker in a larger multi-channel system. It can be used in project, music, broadcast centers, OB vans, and post production studios for tracking, mixing, and mastering.

Josephson C42 Pencil Condenser Microphone - A Dale Pro Audio Favorite
Josephson Engineering had long been known in high end microphone circles for their fine, hand crafted products. Their C42 pencil condenser microphone, both as an individual or as a factory matched pair, have been best sellers at Dale.
Josephson Series Four microphones are a dependable choice for use in the studio and on stage. The C42 cardioid ($435) is the closest thing to an all-around microphone. Applications include acoustic and amplified instruments, ensemble and choir pickups, concert recording, sound effects and vocals. The standard finish is satin machined stainless steel for years of rugged use.
Series Four electronics feature a selected discrete FET driving a fully balanced symmetrical transformerless discrete class-A output stage. The output impedance is low enough that very long cable runs may be used without signal degradation. Although the microphone is specified for full P48 phantom power, it will function with phantom power as low as 24 volts, with some limitation in maximum SPL.
A stereo kit, the C42MP ($975), includes a matched pair of C42 microphones in matte black chrome finish and a protective case.
