Coming soon from the Land Down Under - BeesNeez Mics!

BeezNees LogoMany years ago Ben Sneesby, the founder of BeesNeez Microphones, recognized a gap in the microphone market. It seemed that far too many companies were simply purchasing parts from Asia, assembling them and calling themselves manufacturers. This led him on a quest to bring to market products that utilize the best quality components and materials with the entire microphone assembly manufactured and assembled in the BeesNeez factory that Ben owns with his wife Veronica and their children in Australia. The result has been amazing: not only do BeesNeez Microphones look fantastic, they also have an unforgettable sound.
Ben’s unique microphone capsule design has been heralded as the best capsule being made today. Each capsule is made from a brass or bronze rod, then turned, milled and drilled until the result is a piece of art.

The electronics in all BeesNeez microphones are of the highest quality. The tubes used in these microphones are hand selected from European and American new old stock (NOS). When deciding on a tube for their microphones, they don't just test for noise, they burn them in and then listen, to ensure that every tube used meets their requirements.

All BeesNeez Microphones have names rather than numbers. The reason for this is that Ben is a family man; hence 4 of the microphones are named after his daughters, Mahalia, Phelicity, Arabella and Elly, while the remaining microphones are named after his nieces and nephews.

RedNet Leads The Way for Mobile Recording Engineer Matthew Weiner

Focusrite LogoThe Focusrite RedNet system is best known for its ability to operate very high channel counts at extremely low latencies over a standard gigabit Ethernet network, making it ideal for applications such as multi-room recording studios, post-production facilities and educational institutes. But it also has great benefits for mobile recording engineers, due to its flexibility, reliability and portability.

Matthew Weiner RigMatthew Weiner is one such engineer who has recently adopted the RedNet 2 as his main recording interface. RedNet 2 is a 16-channel A-D/D-A converter which very simply provides 16 line-level inputs and 16 line-level outputs to a RedNet system in a 2U package. Matthew works in a variety of situations, from home recording spaces and rehearsal studios to concert halls, where he records live classical and jazz music performances. His system comprises a Lenovo laptop running Adobe Audition and Cockos Reaper software applications, with his RedNet 2 and some rackmounted mic preamps in a rolling 6U rack case.

Matthew values his investment in RedNet immensely, as it has given him much greater flexibility in terms of infrastructure and logistics while maintaining professional-quality sound.
